Mary Ellen Goode Markham

January 30, 1944 - September 24, 2012

(with Amigos Anonymous in San Pedro Tenango, 1965)

Mary, a member of a Redwood  City pioneer family, passed away suddenly in her home.  She was
raised in the house in Redwood City wehere her mother was born.
She attended Mt Carmel School, Holy CrossHigh School and Providence NursingCollege.

Upon graduation she moved to San Francisco, a city she loved, where she worked as a nurse.
Like her mother, she often defied convention.  She was a free spirit who marched to her own drummer.
As a nurse and caregiver she spent her life helping others in whatever capacity she could, always offering unconditional friendship, love and comfort..  If one met Mary, it was likely that person would be come one of her many friends.  One of her finest qualities was her ability to listen with intensity.

Mary is predeceased by her husband, John Markham, her parents Peter and Margaret Cullen Goode and is survived by her two brothers: Father Larry Goode and Tim; her sister-in-law, Helene; and her nephews Tim, Chris, Michael and niece, Lauren.  She treasured her grandnieces and nephews: Justine, Nina, Joseph, Dominic, Erin, Timmy, Brian and Peter.
